Loads of Tottenham fans have been heaping praise on Tanguy Ndombele, who produced an impressive cameo on his return from injury on Tuesday night.
It’s been quite an eventful week for Tottenham fans, who have seen the man they idolised replaced by possibly the only manager who could draw even more adoration.
Ndombele missed out on Jose Mourinho’s debut as Spurs boss due to injury, but returned off the bench in Tuesday’s Champions League win over Olympiakos.
The Lilywhites won 4-2 courtesy of an impressive second-half comeback, and while the likes of Harry Kane and Dele Alli may steal all the headlines, Ndombele produced some remarkable statistics.
In just seven minutes on the pitch, per Sofascore, the club’s record signing (£53.8m) won four out of four duels, completed every pass he attempted and an incredible four out of four dribbles, meaning he managed the joint-most successful dribbles in the game.
Fans are understandably stunned by these numbers considering he only entered the fray in the 83rd minute, and you can find some of the best Twitter reactions down below…
This guy will become a force at our club and I for one cant wait to see it 🙌🏼 COYS

Tanguy Ndombele is a class player who hasn’t settled in yet there’s a lot more to come from him when he gets more game time

I know this seems a bit irrelevant and I don’t want to sound dramatic but Ndombele is one of the best players I’ve ever seen play football.

I reckon Joao Sacramento will be in Jose’s ear about him, having been in Ligue 1 for a few years. He’ll know all about him.

You can just see he has class in 11 minutes that our midfielders do not possess. Fortunately the Lille backroom staff will know enough about him, so will play.
