Tottenham always seem to have someone or other coming through their academy who looks like they’re going to be the real deal and with the likes of Harry Kane, Harry Winks, Kyle Walker-Peters and Oliver Skipp in the first team, who can blame them. This time around, the player is 16-year-old Troy Parrott, who scored again today.

The young Irish striker always manages to find his way onto the scoresheet for Spurs’ U18 side, and the more he plays and the more goals that he scores just lead to more fans calling for him to be promoted to the senior side, even if it is too early for the striker. Mauricio Pochettino will certainly have his eye on Parrott and given the Argentine’s track record, a debut from Parrott shouldn’t be too far away.
The youngster is a sublime young player, and in two or three years he could prove to be the man that Tottenham have been crying out for as their second choice striker who could finally be used to deputise for Harry Kane seeing as the transfers of Fernando Llorente and Vincent Janssen haven’t exactly gone swimmingly. For now, though, it will be about staying sharp and showing what he can do for Parrott as his stock continues to rise.

The Lilywhites absolutely love seeing Parrott sticking them away and will hope to see him in the senior side in the next couple of years.
