Who would ever have thought it? Tottenham Hotspur, who ten years ago finished 8th in the Premier League, are now in the Champions League final. It was one of those glory nights for the Lilywhites, and after the game, the fans have been calling for Christian Eriksen to stay, as who could justify leaving after yesterday evening?

There have been reports linking Eriksen with a move to Real Madrid for a long time, the most recent of which came as Spanish outlet AS claimed the Dane had made a verbal agreement with Real Madrid. However, after last night the Tottenham fans have been again begging their #23 to stay in North London and continue making history like they did last night at the Johan Crujiff ArenA.
In one way, Eriksen will be getting his wish of going to Madrid. On June 1st, the Lilywhites travel to Atletico Madrid’s Wanda Metropolitano Stadium to take on Liverpool in the Champions League final, the only problem will be making sure Eriksen returns back to North London and stays there, although if he can take home a Champions League winners’ medal there’s no reason why he should want to leave the club this summer.

There is nothing the Lilywhites would not do to get a new contract on the table for Eriksen and will hope he can sign up for five more years before smashing a couple past Liverpool in Madrid.
