No one will ever believe that Fernando Llorente is Harry Kane, and even Llorente will know that his time at Tottenham could be up at the end of this season. However, in Kane’s absence, Llorente has stood up to be counted and has shone in every game barring the trip to Fulham and yesterday was no different.
Massive win! Great team performance We keep fighting #COYS #THFC pic.twitter.com/hluRbG2EwE

On the face of things, Llorente’s one goal in four games since Kane’s injury against Manchester United doesn’t look great. However, the Spaniard got an assist yesterday to make it three games in a row where the big man has laid a goal on for a teammate, meaning that he’s had four goal contributions in four games, a very good record for a fringe player.
Tottenham have scored eight times since Kane’s injury, putting two past Watford and Fulham, one past Newcastle and three past Leicester yesterday. That means that the Lilywhites’ favourite target-man has had a hand in a whopping 50% of the club’s goals since they lost their main talisman, and they’ll be delighted with that stat. All they need to do now is go and beat Borussia Dortmund tomorrow with Llorente having a say and everyone will be happy.

The Lilywhites are warming to Llorente more and more with every minute he plays and he’s proving to be more than good enough to star in this Spurs side.
