Tottenham Hotspur: Alasdair Gold claims Gareth Bale has been on ‘another level’ as West Ham looms

Answering fan questions in a Q&A for Football.London, reliable Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold has issued a latest behind the scenes peek into Tottenham’s training, and in particular Gareth Bale’s condition, at Hotspur Way.

Bale, who was signed in the summer after completing a sensational return to Spurs, has been in recovery from a recent knee injury and steadily gaining match fitness.

Now, as a potential debut against West Ham lingers, the Tottenham journalist has shared a promising update on the Welshman’s return at Enfield.

Bale blows Mourinho away

Indeed, speaking in a Q&A, Gold revealed that he has been ‘told‘ that the 31-year-old is currently playing on ‘another level‘ – relaying a quote from one of his inside sources.

Manager Jose Mourinho, as well as other staff members, have been ‘blown away’ by the attacker so far – a potentially promising development given Spurs entertain West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium this Sunday.

Reports in the media have claimed that the Lilywhites boss is hopeful of Bale’s inclusion in the matchday squad – either as a starter or as an option from the bench.

Gold also waxed lyrical over a potential attacking trident of Bale, Son Heung-min and Harry Kane – describing the would-be front three as ‘ridiculously wonderful‘.

Transfer Tavern take

When Mourinho gets the chance to finally deploy the three attackers, it’s hard to argue that the trio would easily be one of the most potent forward lines in the Premier League.

Spurs would also have Erik Lamela, Lucas Moura and Carlos Vinicius – who can be deployed on the wing – as other options to support star striker Kane when needed.

Given this latest update on Tottenham’s club hero, it’s safe to say Lilywhites fans can start getting excited.

Spurs fans, should Bale start against West Ham or come off the bench? Have your say in the comments down below…
