Tottenham Hotspur: Alasdair Gold relays ‘good news’ for Spurs as Jose Mourinho drops Giovani Lo Celso update

Writing on Twitter, reliable correspondent Alasdair Gold has shared a message from Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho surrounding Giovani Lo Celso – with the Lilywhites manager claiming his relationship with the ball is ‘magnificent‘ so the Argentine’s return to training is ‘good news‘.

Lo Celso has been sidelined for the last two months with a hamstring injury (Transfermarkt), with Mourinho having to heavily rely on Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Tanguy Ndombele for their creative influence.

Lo Celso boost emerges

However, in a boost for Tottenham and Mourinho amid consistent doubts over his future, Lo Celso could be back in action over the next two weeks following his return to training.

Gold, sharing the boss’ update on social media, relayed a message that Spurs could be close to benefitting from the 24-year-old once again even though he is not quite ready to play yet.

Transfer Tavern take

Mourinho lauded his training comeback as ‘good news‘ due to how ‘magnificent‘ he is with the ball – and it’s safe to say the under-fire Lilywhites gaffer could use any help he can get in a bid to turn around Tottenham’s recent poor form.

Spurs have one foot in the Europa League Last 16 after dismantling Austrian minnows Wolfsberger 4-1 away from home last week, and news that Lo Celso could return to help their European and Premier League campaign soon is undoubtedly a boost.

In other news: Tottenham could lose this ‘fantastic’ man as he ‘will insist’ on leaving, find out more here.
