Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter stating their desire to see Serge Aurier start against Crystal Palace this weekend after he captained the Ivory Coast to a 2-1 victory over Tunisia.

Aurier signed for Spurs back in 2017 from Paris Saint-Germain and the right-back played more of a sporadic role in his first season in north London, playing just 17 times in the Premier League. [WhoScored]
Last season, due to the presence of Kieran Trippier and various injuries throughout the term, the Ivory Coast international played just eight times in the league.
However, with Trippier departing for Atletico Madrid, the 26-year-old finally has the chance to cement a spot in the side, although there is fierce competition from Kyle Walker-Peters at right-back.
Sadly, he hasn’t even appeared for Spurs so far this season.
So far, Walker-Peters has started three of the four games, with centre-back Davinson Sanchez coming in for the north London derby at right-back. The academy graduate, Walker-Peters, has had a positive start to the season averaging a performance rating of 6.77 (as per WhoScored), however, fans believe it’s time for him to step out for the ex-PSG man.
