The England international said that it wasn’t ‘too strong’ to call the club’s current plight a ‘crisis’. Dier also dismissed current reports surrounding the Spurs squad, saying ‘they’re not the case’ (via Twitter). The Athletic is reporting that the players feel ‘untrusted, overworked and underpaid’.
Dier’s comments come after yet another defeat for the north London club, this time at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion. Spurs have won just three of their 11 games in all competitions this season, losing four and drawing four (via WhoScored).
The midfielder’s start against the south coast club was just his second league appearance of the season and his third in all competitions (via TransferMarkt).
Some fans didn’t hold back in their responses to the 25-year-old following his comments on their current situation as they took to Twitter to respond.
