Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has commenced on-field rehab as he continues his return from injury, the club have confirmed (via Alasdair Gold).
The England captain ruptured a tendon in his left hamstring in Spurs’ 1-0 defeat against Southampton on New Year’s Day and has been sidelined ever since, with the club suggesting at the time that he wouldn’t be back in training until early April (tottenhamhotspur.com).
It looks like his rehabilitation is going well though, with Jose Mourinho suggesting that he could now play in “three, four or five matches” before the season comes to a conclusion (@Dan_KP).
Kane is a vital player for Spurs, indeed he has netted 181 goals in 278 games for the club in his career (Transfermarkt), including 17 in 25 this season alone (Transfermarkt).
Naturally, plenty of their fans are absolutely buzzing to hear that he has moved a step closer in his return to fitness, with many taking to Twitter to express their delight.
