Tottenham Hotspur: Fans delighted with Hugo Lloris injury update

Tottenham Hotspur captain Hugo Lloris is set to hand the club a major boost by returning to full training in the next 10 days, that is according to a report from the Daily Mail.

And if all goes according to plan, the 33-year-old could make his first-team comeback by the end of January or at the latest early February.

The French international has been out of action since 5th October after damaging his elbow in Spurs’ game against Brighton & Hove Albion (Transfermarkt).

Paulo Gazzaniga has deputised for him, starting in each of their last 13 Premier League games. However, he has struggled a little between the sticks and in that time has managed to keep just one clean sheet (Transfermarkt).

So the news that their regular number one, a man who of course won the 2018 FIFA World Cup with France, is nearing a return to action is likely to come as music to the ears of manager Jose Mourinho given some of the other injury problems he is facing, with Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko falling foul to ailments of late.

It has also gone down well with the majority of Spurs fans, many of whom can’t wait for their captain to be back in the team.

Here is what some had to say on Twitter…
