Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose thinks his old boss Mauricio Pochettino will end up at Manchester United, according to Alasdair Gold via football.london.
Pochettino has been repeatedly linked to the job at Old Trafford for a number of years, although Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the full support of the board, and the Argentine has been out of work ever since he was infamously sacked by Daniel Levy last year.
Nonetheless, Rose believes his former manager will manage the Red Devils at some point.
Speaking to The Lockdown Tactics podcast, after being pressed by Robert Snodgrass and Kris Boyd on his opinion on where Poch will end up, the left-back caved in and said “eventually United.”
Jose Mourinho has previously stated the England international is surplus to requirements and it seems his time in North London is finally coming to an end (Northern Echo). He only played in five games for the Portuguese before heading out the door on loan to Newcastle United for the rest of the season (Transfermarkt).
Rose has made 5 appearances in the Premier League for Steve Bruce’s Magpies, making 1.4 tackles per game, completing 1.2 clearances on average, with a pass success rating of 77.7% (WhoScored). The Black and Whites boss is keen to extend his stay in Tyneside in the summer (ChronicleLive).
Who should be Tottenham Hotspur's first-choice left-back?
Ben Davies
Ryan Sessegnon
Japhet Tanganga
Predictably, plenty of Spurs fans reacted to the 29-year-old’s view on Pochettino, with some supporters commenting “it’s very interesting” and “great words.” One fan even branded Rose a “troublemaker.”

I can’t believe that Poch was touch to Spurs. He was so nice!

Love them both. Clubs not better without them in my opinion.

Interesting. Probably explains why they all looked so burnt out in his last season 🤷♂️

It´s very interesting, as Rose is Pro Poch.
This shows me that Poch is the reason that many of our players are burned out. And that Dembele had to go to China at 30/31..
Also Poch lacks man-management if he does not give them a day off after Ajax away win.. That is poor— David Williams (@DavidWilliamsDK) May 19, 2020
Great words from Rose.
