Son finished a three-week military training course on Friday and was recognised for his efforts, as he impressed in shooting drills and other areas of physical exercise, and he received his prize at a graduation ceremony.

He started the camp last month after earning exemption from two years of mandatory military service for winning a gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games.

As South Korea is still battling the pandemic, the parade wasn’t open to the public, but the Marine Corps posted images of the captain via their Facebook account.

The Spurs star moved to White Hart Lane from Bayer Leverkusen for £27m back in 2015 and has quickly become a firm fan favourite. Son has scored 83 goals and produced 44 assists in 220 appearances for the North London side.

As expected, many fans drooled over the latest “inspirational” photos, with one fan dubbing the winger a “baller” and another simply tweeting “what a man.”
