Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to Paulo Dybala transfer revelation

Tottenham Hotspur had a deal agreed to sign Juventus striker Paulo Dybala last summer, but it fell through after the north London club refused to pay £14 million for his images rights, that is according to a report from The Times.

Spurs were linked with the Argentinian throughout the last transfer window when Mauricio Pochettino was still the manager.

Indeed they even went into deadline day hoping to get a deal over the line (Evening Standard) but they ultimately ended up signing Giovani Lo Celso instead.

Dybala has gone on to feature 22 times in all competitions for Juventus so far this term, scoring nine goals and providing five assists (Transfermarkt).

The revelation that the club had a deal done only for them to pull out for the sake of £14 million has certainly upset plenty of Spurs fans, who can’t believe that they passed up the opportunity to sign a quality operator such as Dybala.
