Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to reports Daniel Levy could sell Harry Kane for £200m

Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy is ready to sanction the sale of talismanic striker Harry Kane in the summer transfer window for a world record fee of £200 million, that is according to a report from the Daily Mail.

It is suggested that the move will see the England captain go to Manchester United, with Levy willing to sell because of financial worries. Indeed, the current pandemic has forced football in the country to be suspended indefinitely and Spurs fear the financial repercussions of that because they are still paying for their £1bn new stadium.

Since graduating from the club’s academy, Kane has been an absolute star for the north London outfit. In 278 appearances he has scored a ridiculous 181 goals, whilst also chipping in with 30 assists too (Transfermarkt). He has also had a fruitful international career to date too, netting 32 times in 45 England appearances.

It is understandable therefore, why loads of Tottenham fans are absolutely fuming after reading the news that the club could be set to let their goal machine leave. Many have taken to Twitter to give their thoughts, with many slamming Levy for potentially sanctioning the sale.
