Tottenham Hotspur: Fans react to Son Heung-min’s new photos

Son Heung-min has been spotted wearing a bulletproof helmet, prompting lots of replies from Tottenham Hotspur supporters.

A number of popular fan accounts tweeted pictures of the Spurs forward returning to boot camp after finishing training at a Marine Corps firing range, via Yonhap News.

According to The Guardian, Son is expected to serve with the South Korean army for three weeks as part of his mandatory national service. He is currently fulfilling the military requirements as football all around the world is suspended as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Having moved to Tottenham from Bayer Leverkusen for £27m all the way back in 2015, the South Korea captain has established himself as a true fan favourite with supporters, bagging 83 goals and producing 44 assists in 220 appearances for the Lilywhites so far.

The speedster has made 21 appearances in the Premier League this season, scoring nine goals and creating 7 assists, taking three shots per game, averaging 1.4 key passes per game and successfully completing 2.3 dribbles per game in the English top flight (WhoScored).

Understandably, loads of Spurs fans shared their opinions on the images, with one fan cheekily tweeting “easy target practice”, and another adding that the “league ain’t ready.”
