Tottenham Hotspur are ready to make a move for AS Roma’s Patrik Schick after RB Leipzig were denied a discount, per LaRoma24 via Football Italia.
Schick has spent the past season on loan with die Roten Bullen, and although Leipzig have the option to buy the striker, it seems the German side’s request for a price reduction has been dismissed by his parent club.

According to the Italian outlet, Spurs are now in a position to open up discussions with the Giallorossi, and Daniel Levy plans to pay the €29m (£25.4m) fee Roma are demanding.
Football reporter Ricky Sacks shared the news on social media, tweeting “Tottenham Hotspur are ready to negotiate a transfer for AS Roma striker Patrik Schick after RB Leipzig were denied a discount. Schick spent the season on loan at Leipzig, who also had a €29M option-to-buy in the event of Champions League qualification.”
Ever since he arrived at the Red Bull Arena, the Czech forward has lit up the Bundesliga, scoring 7 goals and creating 2 assists in only 15 appearances, taking 2.2 shots per game, averaging just under 1 key pass, and successfully completing 1.1 dribbles on average (via WhoScored).
Jose Mourinho is looking for a goalscorer to lift the pressure on talisman Harry Kane in the upcoming transfer window, and, as the 24-year-old is considered surplus to requirements by Paulo Fonseca, he could be the perfect backup.
Understandably, loads of Spurs fans have been discussing the transfer link on Twitter, with one supporter pleading with the board to “give them Lamela,” and another dubbing Schick as a “dream striker.”
