Tottenham Hotspur made it back-to-back victories on Wednesday as they beat Southampton 3-2 in the FA Cup to secure passage into the fifth round.
It was certainly an interesting night for Jose Mourinho’s men, but it should be pleasing that they showed great character and managed to come from 2-1 down to claim the win (BBC Sport).
Quite a few players caught the eye for Spurs, but one man who several fans weren’t too happy with after the game was Eric Dier.
The England international played the full 90 minutes and actually according to the stats he did pretty well. Indeed he won eight duels, made three clearances, won two tackles and blocked one shot in the match whilst also having an 88% passing accuracy and playing four accurate long balls (SofaScore).
Despite this, though, for some reason, lots of Tottenham fans didn’t think that the 26-year-old played well. Several even took to Twitter to criticise Dier’s display, here is what some had to say…
