Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has made a bid for Fenerbahce striker Vedat Muriqi, according to A Spor via @RickSpur.
Muriqi is being lined up to provide injury cover and competition for Spurs talisman Harry Kane.
However, the Turkish outlet reports the Lilywhites have made an underwhelming offer worth €5m to the Yellow and Navy Blues, which is roughly £4.5m. Italian clubs Lazio and Napoli are also interested in signing the Kosovan in the summer.

Indeed, Spurs will be lucky if Fenerbahce return to the negotiating table, as they value the forward at £22m.
Ever since he arrived at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium from Caykur Rizespor for £3.15m last year, Muriqi has led from the front for Zeki Murat Göle’s side this season, scoring 13 goals and creating 5 assists in 25 games in the Super Lig for the Sarı Lacivertliler up until now.
Football reporter Ricky Sacks shared the news on social media, tweeting “Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has made a first approach to sign Vedat Muriqi but will be fortunate if Fenerbache return to negotiate after a opening bid of just £4.5M. Muriqi is being considered to provide competition to Spurs striker Harry Kane.”
Unfortunately, it seems many Spurs fans are unimpressed by the transfer link to the Kosovan international, as several responded to the journalist’s update. Some branded Levy as an “embarrassment” and a “joke,” for offering a sum so far below the asking price, whilst another added the 26-year-old “looks like Soldado” in reference to the former flop, perhaps indicating they aren’t too keen on signing the player anyway.

He looks like Soldado and Janssen had a baby.

Like going into the golf pros shop and offering £20 for a brand new set of Ping Irons. Man, he is an embarrassment!

This guy gives off strong Roberto Soldado vibes

The fact that this is completely believable sums up everything about Levy. Unfortunately he has gone from an excellent negotiator with club at heart of decisions to a complete out of date joke.

From Campos to this Turkish bum. Levy you are capable of everything and nothing at the same time.

And you wonder why Daniel Levy gets so much stick with claims like this 🙄
