Tottenham Hotspur: Fans slam William Carvalho transfer link

Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a move for William Carvalho, according to Transfer20

Carvalho is reportedly keen on a move to the Premier League, although this is not the first time the Real Betis midfielder has been tipped to relocate to England, as he was close to switching to West Ham United in 2017.

TF20 reports Daniel Levy faces a transfer battle with four English rivals, with Wolverhampton Wanderers, Leicester City, West Ham and an unnamed team all said to be monitoring the situation.

Jose Mourinho holds his compatriot in high regard and Tanguy Ndombele could be forced to make room for the Portuguese international in the summer.

After arriving at the Estadio Benito Villamarin from Sporting Lisbon for £18m in 2018, the 28-year-old has only made 9 appearances in La Liga this season, making just 0.9 tackles per game, averaging 0.4 interceptions, and registering under 1 clearance on average in the Spanish top tier (WhoScored).

The outlet claims Betis are willing to sell him for £26m in the upcoming transfer window. Unfortunately, he has struggled with a number of injuries throughout his career so far, and whether or not Levy will make an offer remains to be seen.

In comparison, Ndombele has played 19 games in the English top flight so far, scoring 2 goals, producing 2 assists, notching 1.2 tackles on average, completing 0.7 interceptions, and providing a mere 0.3 clearances per game via WhoScored.

Popular fan page @TranSPURS shared the news on Twitter, prompting lots of replies from the THFC faithful.

Unsurprisingly, loads of Spurs fans slammed the latest transfer link on social media, with one supporter tweeting he is “slower than the fridge,” and others branding him “injury prone.”
