Tottenham Hotspur fans are unhappy after news emerged that Eric Dier looks set to be handed a new contract by the club.

According to The Telegraph, the England international looks set to be handed an extension after featuring prominently under new boss Jose Mourinho.
The 25-year-old only had one full season remaining on his contract, however, looks set to pick up £75k in fresh terms to the deal he signed in 2016.
Before the Portuguese managed came in, Dier had only appeared in three Premier League games under former boss Mauricio Pochettino. However, he has become more of an important figure under Mourinho, starting five of the six league games under the former Manchester United man (via Transfermarkt).
Fans were left less than pleased after reports that the player is set to be handed a new contract as they took to Twitter to react.

Oh yeah because he has really earned that hasn’t he. He is the reason we lose against good sides. People can blame Aurier and Gazzaniga all they like and they are not perfect, but Dier is the reason we are dominated in CM and that is where you lose the game against top sides.
