Tottenham Hotspur suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Southampton on New Year’s Day, but things were made even worse for them by the fact that star striker Harry Kane was forced off through injury.
The England captain was removed after 75 minutes as he picked up a hamstring injury after scoring a goal which was ultimately disallowed for offside (BBC Sport).

It is currently unknown just how long he will be out for, but according to Evening Standard journalist Dan Kilpatrick, he was forced to leave St Mary’s on crutches.
Spurs will hope that it is nothing too serious. Kane is after all their talisman up front and is their leading scorer in this season with 17 strikes in 25 appearances in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
Most supporters were left extremely worried after their main striker went off injured, with some even going as far as suggesting their season may as well be over if it is a serious issue.
Here is what some had to say about Kane’s injury on Twitter…

That was a poor performance from Spurs.
We didn’t look like scoring and we didn’t look like we could keep a clean sheet either.
On top of that, Kane and Ndombele picking up injuries is a massive blow.
Southampton wanted it more and they deserved to win.#SOUTOT
