Tottenham Hotspur: Fans would love to sign Kai Havertz from Bayer Leverkusen

Tottenham Hotspur are one of several Premier League teams that have been monitoring Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Kai Havertz, that is according to Sky Sports.

The report suggests that Spurs have been tracking him for a number of years now as he impressed scouts during Mauricio Pochettino’s time at the club.

Liverpool and Chelsea are also thought to be keeping tabs on the 20-year-old, who has been impressive of late for the Bundesliga side.

Indeed, Havertz scored 20 goals in all competitions last season (Transfermarkt) and he has once again been a regular this term, starting 19 times (Transfermarkt).

The report suggests that Leverkusen aren’t expecting the German international to leave until the end of the season at least. However, that hasn’t stopped several Spurs fans from admitting on social media that they would love their club to sign the youngster, with a couple preferring him over Giovani Lo Celso.
