According to quotes transcribed from Sportv by Record, via Sport Witness, Jose Mourinho will give ‘snip of a signing‘ Carlos Vinicius a chance to ‘convince Tottenham‘ over securing him on a permanent deal at the end of his current loan agreement.
Vinicius, who has played a bit-part role under Mourinho so far this season, becoming second fiddle to Harry Kane as many predicted, faces a tough task considering the Englishman’s electric form over 2020/2021.

Mourinho confirms Vinicius stance
Indeed, Kane has lead from the front as a real superstar – often being the difference maker for Spurs alongside attacking partner Son Heung-min.
The duo have formed a deadly partnership this campaign, leaving prolific goal scorers like Vinicius with the tall order of somehow usurping that combination and forcing their way into the starting eleven.
Nonetheless, Mourinho has now confirmed that the 25-year-old will be given his chance to prove he can become a mainstay for Spurs – with Daniel Levy having the chance to sign him permanently in a £40 million option-to-buy deal.
As it stands, with Vinicius seeing few minutes ahead of Kane on the pitch with the exception of Europa League encounters, it’s debatable whether he would be worth the hefty fee.
Speaking to Sportv, however, Mourinho confirms that he can still ‘convince Tottenham’ and will be given opportunities to show his worth this season.
Transfer Tavern take
Described as a ‘snip of a signing‘ by Football Insider pundit Noel Whelan, Vinicius could still prove he is worth the significant investment, and this assurance from Mourinho could mean Spurs fans will see much more of him over the next few months.
