Tottenham Hotspur: Much awaited Gareth Bale return teased on attacker’s official Twitter account

Gareth Bale has suggested that he could be set for a return to action in the near future via his official Twitter account, with the Welshman claiming that he is ‘feeling sharp’ following his return to first-team training.

Bale re-joined Tottenham Hotspur on a season-long loan deal from Real Madrid in the summer, but the forward arrived with a knee injury suffered whilst playing for Wales. That had been anticipated to keep him out of action until at least the end of the current international break.

Bale’s homecoming looking imminent

It appears as though Bale could well be set to make a return to fitness on schedule, with the winger having returned to first-team training with Spurs, as was teased by the club’s official Twitter account on Monday.

The Welshman’s return to training has come at a good time with concerns over Harry Kane’s fitness after Gareth Southgate confirmed that his captain was struggling with muscular fatigue.

Spurs take on rivals West Ham United next weekend when the Premier League resumes. They have already been boosted by the potential involvement of fellow new signing Carlos Vinicius and Bale could join the striker in being included in the matchday squad for the first time since re-joining the club.

Bale appeared in fine shape in a video he shared on his personal Twitter account of him back in training with Tottenham’s squad. The Wales international suggested he is ready to make an impact for Spurs in the coming weeks and months with a simple message of ‘feeling sharp.’

Bale return will make Spurs even more of a threat

Tottenham have hardly been lacking in firepower over the last few weeks, with Spurs having secured impressive 5-2 and 6-1 wins at Southampton and Manchester United respectively. However, there was the frustrating 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle United which saw them fail to convert after greating a host of chances.

Having a player of Bale’s quality available will give yet another lift to Spurs’ front line. The prospect of him lining up alongside Kane and the in-form Son Heung-Min is tantalising, and the Welshman will aim to build up a strong relationship with those two players as soon as possible.

Spurs fans, should Gareth Bale come straight into the starting line-up? Let us know your thoughts below!
