Writing for football.london, reliable Spurs correspondent Alasdair Gold has dropped a behind the scenes claim on youngster Harvey White after he made a brief cameo during the Lilywhites’ 4-0 win over Ludogorets.
The starlet, who signed his first professional contract for Tottenham in February, has been a revelation behind the scenes whilst turning the head of manager Jose Mourinho – with the Portuguese boss reportedly impressed by his performances at Hotspur Way.
White impressing Mourinho
Gold, writing for football.london, details that Mourinho is a fan of White having been wowed by his behind the scenes effort in training as well as obvious ability – with the youngster potentially on his way to becoming a future Spurs mainstay.
Mourinho has also been impressed with his outings in preseason matches, with the game against Ludogorets gifted as a chance to ensure White is given much-needed match action as he looks to progress into the senior team.
Transfer Tavern take
Described as clever and hard-working by Gold, the ‘terrific‘ talent is impressing Mourinho and it’s safe to say Lilywhites could see a lot more of the midfield maestro over the next few weeks.
Tottenham play LASK in the Europa League next Thursday, and this opposition could be another opportunity to hand White minutes as Spurs look to secure their place in the Round of 32.
Fellow youngster Jack Clarke was previously described as a player turning Mourinho’s head, but White’s rise to the first team has ensured there are plenty of starlets coming through the ranks.
