According to a report by TEAMtalk, Tottenham Hotspur, and by extension chairman Daniel Levy, 'would consider' a blockbuster new deal for star striker Harry Kane worth around £500,000-per-week.

The Lowdown: Spurs linked to new Kane deal...

Despite the England superstar's heavy links with a move away from N17 over the summer, there are murmurs coming from within Spurs that the Lilywhites could tie down Kane with a new deal.

Indeed, as backed by reliable reporter Alasdair Gold, the 28-year-old could contemplate penning a new deal at Tottenham with more reports emerging over the last few days.

Eurosport claimed recently that managing director Fabio Paratici and co will keep the line of communication open with Kane's representatives over a possible new deal but the player himself wants a release clause inserted.

Now, even more news on the superstar's future has emerged.

The Latest: New claim emerges involving Kane...

Sharing their own update, outlet TEAMtalk have rubbished claims that Kane is hoping for a release clause in the mooted deal.

Indeed, according to their sources, the forward is hoping for Spurs performance-related clauses to be inserted in any proposed contract.

It is also believed that Kane is after a salary of around £500,000-per-week, something which Spurs, Levy and Paratici 'would consider' agreeing to.

However, the proposal of performance-related clauses is not something chairman Levy would entertain.

The Verdict: Levy holding the cards...

Given he is under contract until 2024, it appears Tottenham and Levy hold all the cards when it comes to Kane and the club are in a strong position to refuse his demands.

That being said, this TEAMtalk report indicating the star isn't after a release clause comes as a slight boost, but it is unclear what these performance clauses will entail or whether Spurs will pull a U-turn on negotiating them.

Lauded as a 'magnificent' player by Alan Shearer, it appears Kane isn't going anywhere any time soon.
