Tottenham Hotspur: Harry Kane bids farewell to Spurs duo on Instagram

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane bid an emotional farewell to Jan Vertonghen and Michel Vorm in a recent post on his official Instagram page.
The England skipper helped Spurs finish in sixth place in the Premier League table with a goal in the 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace, confirming qualification for the Europa League next season.
The fixture at Selhurst Park marked the final time that both Vertonghen and Vorm would be involved for the north London club, with both players set to leave on free transfers this summer following the expiration of their contracts.
Kane paid tribute to the duo on Instagram, posting a photo of the entire squad following the draw against Palace along with the caption: “Wish nothing but the best for @jvertonghen and @mvorm with whatever is next for them. Been a pleasure sharing a dressing room and playing with them both.”
The post gained lots of attention from Spurs supporters, many of whom said the same thing and suggested that they would miss the departing players, particularly Vertonghen.
Indeed, the Belgian spent eight years with Tottenham after joining from Ajax in 2012, making a total of 315 appearances in all competitions for the club (Transfermarkt).
He will no doubt go down as a favourite at the north London club for many years, especially if the replies to Kane’s post are anything to go by.
