Tottenham Hotspur: Journalist shares what Jose Mourinho told him about Harry Kane injury - Tottenham Hotspur News

Writing on Twitter, BBC Radio 5 Live journalist Alistair Bruce-Ball has shared what Jose Mourinho told him about Harry Kane’s ankle injuries after Tottenham Hotspur succumbed to a 3-1 Liverpool defeat – with the reporter sharing that the Englishman is likely to be out for a ‘few weeks‘.

Kane, who has starred up front for Spurs under Mourinho this season, went down clutching his ankles during the Lilywhites’ loss on Thursday evening – with the Tottenham boss revealing to national media that he wasn’t sure of the scale (football.london).

Mourinho message explained

However, speaking after the dust settled, claiming that ‘Mourinho has just told‘ him, radio journalist Bruce-Ball has shared a claim that Kane could be out for weeks after taking damage to both ankles.

In a big blow for Spurs, especially considering how crucial the 27-year-old is to Tottenham, Kane looks likely to be absent for the next few fixtures as Bruce-Ball shares Mourinho’s estimate on Twitter.

Transfer Tavern take

According to WhoScored, Kane has managed the most shots on goal per 90 out of any Spurs player in the league¬† this season by some way (3.6) – averaging nearly double Heung-min Son’s amount in the Premier League (1.9).

Judging by the numbers, as well as the fact Kane has bagged 12 goals and 11 assists this season by himself, Tottenham having to cope without him for weeks comes as a huge setback for the Lilywhites’ potential title charge.
