Fulham are leading the race to sign Tottenham Hotspur starlet Oliver Skipp on loan this summer, reports say.
A few weeks after Skipp signed a new four-year deal with Spurs, keeping him at the north London club until 2024, the Lilywhites will allow him to leave.
According to The Evening Standard’s Dan Kilpatrick, Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho has reluctantly agreed to let Skipp to leave on loan and the midfielder is attracting attention from Premier League pair Burnley and Southampton, as well as Championship sides Reading and Nottingham Forest.
Fulham boss Scott Parker worked together with the youngster during his time as part of the Spurs youth setup and the Cottagers are reportedly the front-runners to sign him in the summer.

Skipp, 19, has made 21 senior appearances for Spurs after breaking through the ranks, but wants to play regular football in the midfield, and knows he will have a better chance of doing so at a Championship club.
The England U21 international starred in the 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier this month, although he has paid close attention to Chelsea duo Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham, who earned their stripes in the English second tier before coming back with a bang for club and country.
Similarly, Spurs striker Troy Parrott is set to spend next season out on loan, with Milwall firmly in the mix to sign the Republic of Ireland international.
Perhaps it is best for everyone as loan spells will benefit all parties involved. A loan away from north London would enable both players to test themselves in a competitive league, gaining vital experience in the process, and they could return to challenge for a place in the starting lineup.
