Last night Manchester United and football fans here watching the football in the Transfer Tavern last night were left shocked, after left-back Luke Shaw was left with horror double fracture to his right leg, in the Champions League clash with PSV after a tackle with Hector Moreno.
Revealed in the Mirror, former manager Mauricio Pochettino has said how he rang Luke Shaw in hospital and was left hurt, as the left-back was crying down the phone from his hospital bed.
After a hugely impressive start to the season for the left-back, the news comes as a real blow to Manchester United and England fans alike, as the full-back may now struggle to be fit for the European Championships next summer.
In a rocky start to United, Shaw had been one of the real positives with him seemingly finding his feet at his new club after a difficult first season, where he struggled for form and fitness. Which makes the injury even harder to take.
All of us here inside the Transfer Tavern wish Shaw a speedy recovery. Many hope he can play again before the end of the season and still have a chance of making the England squad for next summer!
