Tottenham’s Premier League survival hopes are hanging by a thread.
After a disastrous run that has seen them go winless for much of 2026, Spurs find themselves in the relegation zone and now relying on results elsewhere to stand any chance of staying up.
Even if they do manage to escape the drop, a major rebuild looks inevitable — and the club are already being linked with potential statement signings ahead of the summer.
Spurs Interested in Rashford
Marcus Rashford’s future is once again uncertain, and Tottenham have now emerged as a surprise contender for his signature.
According to SPORT, Spurs hold a “genuine interest” in the Manchester United forward, whose situation remains unresolved following his loan spell at Barcelona.
Rashford — praised for having a “perfect mentality” by Barcelona boss Hansi Flick — had initially been keen to extend his stay in Spain. However, that move now appears unlikely to materialise, with Barcelona unwilling to meet the agreed £25.8 million option to buy.
Manchester United are standing firm on that valuation, effectively stalling negotiations and opening the door for other clubs to enter the race. Tottenham are one of those now circling, although it remains unclear whether they would pursue a loan or a permanent deal.
Any move would likely depend on Spurs’ league status. Relegation would all but end their chances, but survival could trigger investment — and Rashford could be viewed as a marquee addition to kickstart a new era.
This is one of those situations that could shift quickly. Barcelona stepping away changes everything — and suddenly, the door is wide open.
If Tottenham stay up and decide to act, they won’t just be signing a player — they’ll be betting on a revival. And in Rashford, that gamble might just be worth taking.
