With Mauricio Pochettino proving the darling of Hotspur Way over the last few years, the upcoming managerial vacancy at Barcelona was always likely to cause a few nervous sighs amongst our north London locals.
In many ways, the Argentine seems like an ideal fit for the Blaugrana, conisdering his exciting brand of football and experience in the city, following his spell in charge of local rivals Espanyol. So, the Lilywhites propping up the bar have barely been surprised to see his name touted as a potential replacement for Luis Enrique at the Camp Nou.
That being said, a tidbit from the Daily Telegraph have gone down a storm amongst them. They claim those at White Hart Lane are confident of keeping the 45-year-old despite reported interest from the Catalan titans.
He only recently penned a new long-term deal at the club and Spurs are soon to move to a new stadium, representing a new era for the club. As you can well imagine, that’s served as very good news to our Spurs fans.
