Crucially for Newcastle the forward, who is tipped to make Vicente Del Bosque’s Spain squad for the European Championships, is settled in Tyneside and is an established member of the first-team.
Therefore, both United and Spurs will face a stern test luring the youngster to their club without guarantees of regular football.
