Tottenham Hotspur won’t accept anything less than a top four spot in the current campaign having started the season strongly under Mauricio Pochettino.
The Lilywhites have looked dominant this season despite not spending a single penny during the summer transfer window. And, it appears as if they’ve shut the door on a move for a reported January target, as according to Sun Sport, nobody at Tottenham was willing to confirm that Leandro Trossard is an option for them.
Tottenham are believed to be interested in the 23-year-old, with Southampton, Monaco and Borussia Dortmund also interested in the attacker.
The left winger has hit 15 goals in 18 games for KRC Genk this season to inspire them to the top of the Pro League.
Interestingly, Trossard signed a contract extension until 2021 in May, but hopes to crown a successful season by landing a Premier League move.
However, his agent Josy Comhair had this to say:
“I sought contact with Arsenal and Tottenham officials.
“Nobody at Tottenham was willing to confirm that Trossard is an option for them – but at Arsenal they were.”

The Belgian international has the potential to become one of the best attackers in world football.
Leandro Trossard has been one absolute fire over in Belgium this season, so it comes as some surprise that the Lilywhites aren’t willing to confirm that he is an option.
Spurs could do with bringing in an attacker in January as they need to find a replacement for Fernando Llorente, who is currently wasting away behind the scenes in North London.
