Tottenham Hotspur fans are moving over to the pool table and towards our landlord who has some rather juicy gossip about their much talked about forward Emmanuel Adebayor and it is all courtesy of The Guardian.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino spoke about the failed attempt to offload Adebayor on deadline day and the blocked move to prevent him leaving for London rivals West Ham United and seemed fairly positive about the short-term future Adebayor has at the club.

He noted: “We are happy that he stays here because I think he is a very important player.”

Our landlord points out that the club are not the only ones playing nice, with the Togolese forward himself making no secret about the fact that he turned down a move to Queens Park Rangers and now hopes to give his all for the North London side as they fight for a place in the top four of the Premier League.

The forward might not be a fans favourite at the minute but as we all know, supporters are fickle and a couple of goals against fierce rivals anf former employers Arsenal on Saturday and this would catapult him back into their good books – for 24 hours at least!
