The Express journalist tells interested punters that Tottenham goalkeeper Hugo Lloris could leave White Hart Lane if the club fail to achieve Champions League for next season.

The French international shot stopper is thought to be enjoying life under newly-appointed Spurs manager Tim Sherwood, but he has now reportedly admitted that he will have to re-evaluate his future should the club fail to finish in the Premier League’s highly coveted top four.

Lloris, who joined the club in September 2012 from Lyon with a fee rising to £11.8 million, has been a consistent performer for Spurs and he is regarded very highly across with Europe with a starring role in France’s World Cup campaign expected.

His latest comments suggested that his situation could change in the summer.

He said: “The objective is to reach the Champions League. After that, it’s to close the gap on the biggest teams in the league.

“Without Champions League football? I’ve not thought about it. I must weigh things up at the end of the season.”

To most punters  in the tavern, his initial capture was something of a coup and it comes as no surprise to see him desiring Champions League football. However Tottenham fans remain hopeful that he can be persuaded to stay with the North London club.
