The Sun certainly have Tottenham Hotspur fans looking rather annoyed here in the Football Transfer Tavern as they claim that the North London club are willing to sell Hugo Lloris.
Should a £25 million bid come in for the French international goalkeeper, the Lilywhites will reportedly allow him to leave and cash in, mindful of the fact that Lloris would like to be playing for a Champions League club.
As one of our punters notes over a pint, we think that the club should try and get into the top four of the Premier League themselves and not only be able to keep their current crop of stars but also to attract other top class players who want to be playing in Europe.
Selling a keeper as good as Lloris right now would certainly not be a step forward for Mauricio Pochettino and his men and as our landlord notes over a game of pool, there aren’t too many better goalkeepers around that they could hope to land as a replacement.
