Former Tottenham Hotspur star Graham Roberts has ruled out the possibility of Rafael Benitez joining the club, in an exclusive interview with The Transfer Tavern.
Spurs are on the lookout for a new manager and have been linked with a number of potential appointments.
Julian Nagelsmann is heading to Bayern Munich despite being touted as a potential option, while The Daily Mail reports that Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers has rejected the chance to become Jose Mourinho’s replacement.
Should Spurs appoint Benitez?
Benitez could be a surprise option, too, with the 61-year-old Spaniard having managed Liverpool and Newcastle United in the Premier League previously.
He has been out of work since January, when he left Chinese club Dalian Professional, and Roberts insists that he will not be the man to take the reins.
He told TT: “I don’t see that at all. I think the chairman will know who he wants, there’s no doubt about it.”
