Tottenham Hotspur: Joe Rodon ‘ready to undergo’ Spurs medical as move could go ‘down to the wire’

Writing on Twitter, the Athletic journalist David Ornstein has provided another significant update in the race against time for Swansea City defender Joe Rodon.
Rodon, who has been tipped with a move to Tottenham ever since the original October 5 deadline, with a deal supposedly ‘close‘ back then, could actually be nearing a move in the next few hours.
Will Spurs get Rodon over the line?
Yes, it's happening

No

Rodon medical reveal
According to Ornstein, the player is ‘ready to undergo medical’ if an agreement ‘is struck’ between Spurs and Swansea over the final hours of the EFL bonus transfer window.
Cautious optimism around this proposed deal. The journalist has urged ‘cautious optimism’ around this deal, however, especially as the two clubs are still yet to properly agree a fee for the 22-year-old.
As per this update, Rodon is just waiting on the green light to undergo his testing ahead of a dream move to the Premier League and Tottenham.
If the Welshman signs before 5pm this evening, he will become Spurs’ seventh summer signing, accompanying Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Carlos Vinicius and club icon Gareth Bale.
According to reports, Swansea are holding out for £15m, although Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is only willing to shell out £10m for the Wales defender’s signature. Because of the steady negotiations, Ornstein now claims that a deal could ‘well go down to the wire’.
Transfer Tavern take
After a dramatic summer window, it appears Spurs are not finished yet, attempting to get yet another deal over the line before Jose Mourinho continues his first full season in charge of the club.
