Tottenham Hotspur have a good chance of signing Paulo Dybala if the Juventus attacker wants a move to an English club in the summer, according to journalist Pete O’Rourke.

The Lowdown: Dybala’s contract at Juventus

The Argentina international is out of contract in the summer, and to that effect, reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano recently revealed that Juventus had a verbal agreement with the 28-year-old last October, but they have since gone back on their word over their proposal.

Following the new conditions, Dybala will leave the Turin club as a free agent, as he is now ready to hold talks with a list of potential suitors.

The Latest: O’Rourke’s claim on Dybala

O’Rourke has tipped Tottenham to be one of Dybala’s top destinations.

Speaking with GiveMeSport, he claimed: “I think if there’s a chance that Dybala does come to the Premier League, I think there’s a real strong possibility that Spurs could be leading the hunt for him.”

The Verdict: Great deal for Spurs

Whilst Antonio Conte has one of the world’s best strikers at his disposal in Harry Kane, the Italian is rather short of alternative options in the event that his star forward gets injured.

As a result, Dybala could be the perfect addition to Tottenham's squad. As a second striker this season, the Argentine has netted 11 goals in 20 games, illustrating his ability to play in a different formation to Kane, so his arrival would provide Conte with an excellent alternative.

Once hailed by international colleague Lionel Messi to have a “bright future ahead of him”, the Juventus forward has been renowned for his creative talent; and with a current Transfermarkt valuation of £36m, Tottenham will be receiving a bargain if they can secure him on a free transfer in the summer.
