According to a report by Fussball Transfers, Spurs and Daniel Levy are currently locked in talks over a potential deal for Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic – with the 6 foot 2 attacker hugely admired by manager Jose Mourinho.
Perisic attracted serious interest from Mourinho when he was at the helm of Manchester United, and it appears he has reignited his interest in the Croatian as Tottenham enter talks for his signature.
Should Spurs sign Perisic?
Definitely, an ideal signing
Nope, not close to Spurs' level
Indeed, as per this report, Levy and co are currently in negotiations with Perisic over a January loan move – with Fussball Transfers also claiming that there was ‘contact‘ last summer for the 31-year-old.
A World Cup finalist, the versatile winger would present a different option for Tottenham going forward – something that could boost Mourinho’s title charge given their over reliance on Harry Kane and Son Heung-min recently.
Levy, it appears, has instigated talks for Perisic’s signature in an effort to strengthen Spurs’ title bid – coming as Gareth Bale’s place in the team looks to be under threat.

Lauded as ‘incredible‘ by Croatia legend Davor Suker, he can also operate as a makeshift striker – giving Spurs more options going forward as negotiations reportedly gather steam.
Former Nerazzurri boss Luciano Spalletti is also a huge admirer of Perisic, branding him a ‘leader‘ during his time at the San Siro helm.
Fussball Transfers, as well as revealing these negotiations, also claim the ‘Premier League is calling‘ – and signing Perisic could be an prospect for Spurs fans.
Taking into account his plaudits and credentials, along with Mourinho’s past admiration, it’s safe to say Levy could be swooping for a gem.
