Tottenham Hotspur: Sampdoria attacking gem Mikkel Damsgaard eyed by Spurs -Tottenham Hotspur Transfer Rumours

According to Tuttosport, via calciomercato.com, Tottenham Hotspur are eyeing Sampdoria gem Mikkel Damsgaard alongside West Ham United – with this update claiming they’re one of the interested parties ‘above all‘ others.

Tottenham eyeing Damsgaard

Damsgaard has enjoyed a promising start to life in Serie A this season, coming after he completed his move from FC Nordsjælland last year, and this report has backed up claims that Premier League clubs are already taking an interest in the Dane.

Club Doria (via Sport Witness) shared that Spurs were indeed monitoring Sampdoria’s attacking ‘gem‘ earlier this month, and now Tuttosport have joined in and backed up this information.

They claim that Spurs and West Ham are the most interested parties from the Premier League, and it’s not difficult to see why judging by his potential.

Transfer Tavern take

Once likened to Danish footballing icon and Champions League winner Michael Laudrup (TUTTOmercatoWEB), his value has also trebled to around €20 million (£17.7 million) according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

While any possible swoop would be for a future move, as this update says, the attacker has plenty of admirers – including former Lilywhite Christian Eriksen.

Speaking in an interview with TV 2 SPORT, Damsgaard revealed how Eriksen ‘praised’ him during one of their encounters, whilst respected TV 2 SPORT commentator Martin Mikkelsen also called him ‘magical‘ earlier this year.

Time will tell whether Tottenham act on this interest, but he could be worth making a swoop for.
