According to a report from The Boy Hotspur, Harry Kane and Heung-Min Son are both considering their futures at Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane and Son could leave
Kane and Son are Spurs’ two most valuable assets and are hugely important to Jose Mourinho’s side – they have 21 and 18 goals respectively in all competitions this season (Transfermarkt), with both at least 10 strikes ahead of Spurs’ third-highest goalscorer, Lucas Moura.
However, according to this report, both players may look for a move away from north London this summer as the outlet say that “a source who is close to the club” has given them that information.
While Tottenham are one of the better sides in the Premier League – they have regularly competed in the Champions League and even made the final in 2019 – they have not won a trophy since 2008.
Kane and Son are too good to spend their whole careers without lifting any major silverware – the truth is, they are better than just nearly-men. Tottenham are in the League Cup final, in which they will face Manchester City, but that is unlikely to satisfy either player’s appetite for success.
Will Kane and Son both leave this summer?
Given their ability, there will be a number of clubs eager to prise them away from Spurs. Should they want depart, Daniel Levy and co may be fighting a losing battle to keep them but with contract talks ongoing, he needs to push to get them both to put pen to paper.
