Vieira made his name at Elland Road across two full campaigns for United, he made 71 appearances and in that time, proved himself as a fan favourite among the Leeds faithful. It was, for that reason, that lots are fans were not impressed to see him move on.

The confirmation of the deal involves a two-sentence tweet, followed up by a further one sentence in the following tweet. Such an announcement seemed to undermine his time at the club and a number of fans were not impressed as to how the club had handled it.

Vieira is having to bide his time at Sampdoria and ensure that his performances in training warrant first-team opportunities on the matchday.
After a prolonged spell on the sidelines, mainly just featuring on the bench and rarely coming on, the 20-year-old has gradually managed to weave his way into the reckoning for more regular minutes, but he still can boast just four starts this season.
It seems that Vieira still way a way to go to convince the Sampdoria boss of his ability.
