Liverpool fans are looking concerned here in the Football Transfer Tavern as it is claimed by Footy Latest that one of their top transfer targets is losing patience with their failure to make a bid for him this season.
The club have long been linked with Ajax youngster Christen Eriksen who has been simply sensational for the Dutch side thus far and has stalled on signing a new deal with the Amsterdam Arena-based club in order to force a move to a bigger league and better club.
Now it seems that despite a whole host of clubs eyeing the player, a bid has not thus far materialised, leading the 21-year-old to claim he may well stay at his current club for the foreseeable future and pen a new deal with them.
Borussia Dortmund were also thought to be interested in the exciting player after losing Mario Gotze to Bayern Munich but with neither club making a concrete bid, a source close to the player claimed there is a growing deal of frustration, noting: “One minute there was a concrete interest and Liverpool were willing to pay the fee, but now they are taking their time.”
