Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are looking up with interest at the latest claim from Metro.
The publication feel that the club could well still be in with a chance of landing Toni Kroos from Bayern Munich.
We had of course linked the player with a winter move to Old Trafford and as our landlord reminds us, we were nearly convinced that he would be making the switch – especially after his strop when subbed.
Then it seemed that the whole saga was a ploy to get a better pay rise during current contractual negotiations with the Bavarian giants, and Red Devils supporters in the tavern lost hope.
Now one of our regulars pauses from the pint he was sipping to note that Kroos could actually be on his way after all and if David Moyes and fans are patient until the summer, they could well be in for a treat.
The 24-year-old decided to speak about his future on Facebook and noted: “I love Bayern and I don’t mind that I am a squad player at the moment. However, me and the club have not been able to agree a contract renewal – and we’ll now see what the future brings.”
Will Kroos make the move to Old Trafford? Let us know your thoughts below.
