Manchester City have been the standout performers in the Premier League this season, while Bournemouth have been one of the surprise packages.
The Citizens won’t accept anything less than the Premier League title in the current campaign having gone unbeaten up until this stage, with a two-point lead under their belt. Meanwhile, the Cherries will have their sights set on a European place having defied expectations under Eddie Howe.
Interestingly, the current Premier League campaign has produced a number of goals already, with Bournemouth’s Callum Wilson and Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero contenders in the race for the Golden Boot.
With that in mind, let’s compare these two transfers…
SERGIO AGUERO

Sergio Aguero joined Manchester City back in the summer of 2011 for a reported fee of £38 million. A bargain, when you look back at it.
The Argentine has gone on to establish himself as one of the best attackers in world football as he continues to produce in Europe and domestically for the Citizens as the club’s all-time leading goalscorer.
And, the striker has already managed to find the back of the net 11 times in the current campaign and has provided three assists for his teammates.
Sheikh Mansour would have had high hopes for the South American after signing him from Atletico Madrid, but he never would have thought that he’d be behind the bargain signing of an all-time great.

CALLUM WILSON

Callum Wilson joined Bournemouth from Coventry City back in the summer of 2014. The Englishman has never really managed to find his feet in front of goal on a regular basis since moving to the Vitality Stadium, but he has certainly gone up a gear in the current campaign as he already has seven goals and five assists to his name.
However, the forward hasn’t been as clinical as many think in front of goal with his contributions coming in clumps rather than on a consistent basis.
He did manage to find the back of the net on his international debut against the United States of America recently and has established himself as a contender for the Golden Boot, but he still has areas to improve in his game.
Interestingly, Chelsea have been linked with a January move for the striker having witnessed his performances this season, so he could look to challenge himself at a higher level.
TT GRADE: A

TT VERDICT:
When comparing these two, it’s clear to see that Sergio Aguero is in a league of his own as he continues to deliver against some of the best defenders in world football in the Premier League and in Europe, while Callum Wilson is quickly developing into one of the hottest topics in English football.
The Argentinian is a once in a lifetime kind of player that has managed to help secure a number of pieces of silverware during his time at the Etihad, with plenty more to come while he’s around.
Meanwhile, Callum Wilson has the potential to kick on and challenge Aguero for the Golden Boot this season, but consistency could be an issue as he has struggled in seasons gone by.
Both players will play a huge part for their respective clubs this season and have already established themselves as stars, but it’s Aguero that continues to deliver world-class performances week in, week out for the Citizens in Europe and domestic competitions, which is a level that Wilson is yet to reach at Bournemouth.
