The Daily Mail have Manchester United fans looking up with interest and a little bit of apprehension here in the Football Transfer Tavern.

They claim that Nemanja Vidic may not be the only player heading for the exit door at the club.

We are still reeling from the news that the Serbian international is quitting the club in the summer and now it seems that most of the back four could be set to follow him.

One of our punters makes the quip that should Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand also follow Vidic out of the door, the middle of the park will look positively world class compared to the players at the back!

Vidic has, according to many Twitter trolls, left a sinking ship, and it seems that his long-term partner at the back, Rio Ferdinand is set to follow him. This would really mark the end of an era for the club, and give the young stars a real chance to establish themselves.

We are not at all shocked by the news that Evra wants to leave and given how hard David Moyes has tried to bring in a new left back, we don’t blame him!
