Things seem to be looking up for Manchester United fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern.
Metro claim two more players are on their radar and one of their existing players could well be set for a bumper extension to his current deal.
Wayne Rooney, as we have already been told by our landlord, is ready to put pen to paper on a new deal at the club, and will now be offered a deal worth £65 million.
As one of our punters notes, think of the amount of beer and burger deals he could take advantage of with that!
It is a huge boost for the club to have them keep Rooney and will only help when looking to attract players to the club.
Our punters seem more interested in what our landlord has to say about who these players are than anything on the big screen or the pool table, and he eagerly tells them that the club are looking to land Southampton’s Luke Shaw and also Newcastle United star Yohan Cabaye.
The Red Devils fans amongst us seem to think that both players would be ideal at the club, but it certainly means that big money would have to be spent – and a lot of negotiating would have to be done for the coveted players.
