Life’s not been too kind to the Rangers fans propping up the bar in the Transfer Tavern of late, having watched their beloved Gers’ form falter rather frantically indeed. Despite big investment over the summer, not much has worked for Mark Warburton on the transfer front. 

Big-name arrivals such as Philippe Senderos and, of course, Joey Barton have yielded little in the way of success, while the likes of Niko Kranjcar and Jordan Rossiter have proved more hassle than they’re worth in terms of injuries. So, it’s been down to the players at Mark Warburton’s disposal to help the club battle for 2nd spot.

One of the most impressive has been veteran forward Kenny Miller, who has lead the line like a man much younger than his 37 years. Knowing the Scottish league in and out, the former Scotland international’s future at Ibrox was recently cast into doubt following reports he had not yet been offered a new deal.

While that hasn’t gone down too well amongst the locals in the Tavern, such is the nature of his popularity amongst them, here’s TWO players who could well follow him out.

Clint Hill

Eyebrows were initially raised upon Clint Hill’s Ibrox arrival over the course of the summer, having struggled during the last few seasons at QPR. While the 38-year-old hasn’t torn up many trees since moving north of the border, he’s a proved solid enough signing.

Another whose deal runs out at the end of the current campaign and he’s been linked with a return to Loftus Road.

Josh Windass

One of few Warburton signings to really work, despite his injury problems, the capture of Josh Windass from Accrington Stanley has largely been cited by our local as a huge coup. Still, with the Gers’ season in danger of completely crumbling, the 23-year-old could seek a move away from Glasgow.

Linked with both Newcastle and Derby, perhaps his stay in Scotland could be a fleeting one.
